Online Course "Quick Start" |
 |
|
First you must register
- If you are setting up access for a group of students to the online courses, go to the registration wizard and purchase an online course user account.
- Once the user account has been validated, you can add student accounts on the student registration page.
- If you are a student who wishes access to the online courses, you must have your account user create a student login registration for you.
- If you are a student interested in the online courses but don't have an online course account user who can register you, you may be able to purchase an individual account by yourself. Go to the registration wizard and select either a Homeschool account with one student or a Classroom Teacher account with zero students.
Once you are registered
- Go to the Courses page.
- Click on the department containing your course.
- Click on the course you want to start.
- Enter your login or user ID and your password.
- Each course is stored and administered on our computers at iclasses.org
- Once in the course, navigation controls will be on the left side of the screen. By clicking on the various lessons you will be taken directly to them.
- Most courses are divided into units and lessons. Syllabi, tests, and glossaries are located in the course introduction section. You may proceed in the order in which the course is laid out or jump to areas of interest or need. This is entirely user-driven and -controlled.
- The activities and lessons have hyperlinks that you click to go to the information needed to answer or perform the activity.
- You are able to move back and forward using the appropriate buttons at the top of the screen that are located on your browser, or by using the links in the left hand pane to all the various lessons.
- It will also be helpful for you to bookmark sites used numerous times in the lesson. This will save time and allow you to move more quickly when calling up information. The bookmark command is usually marked "Bookmarks" or "Favorites" at the top of the screen on your browser.
